VRX Racer X: 4-Sim Interactive
In partnership with NAGRA Kudelski group, this 4-player interactive experience was designed & built for the IAAPA amusement park trade show in Miami, Florida. Racer X was designed to install back-to-back with the Vessel VR attraction at IAAPA & featured a similar semi-enclosed platform with TV screens/LED panels but traded the D-BOX seats and VR headsets for four D-BOX motion powered racing simulators linked up to host live races between them. Similar to Vessel, the attraction had the ability to run promotional video loops on both the TV’s & LED panels when not displaying live gameplay footage.
I was the lead designer, manufacturing coordinator, and project manager for the project, and the team was given just 4 weeks to go from a concept sketch to the completed attraction.
The attraction made it to the venue in time to be completely installed & ran without fault for the duration of IAAPA, and there was significant interest in Racer X from numerous entertainment companies at the trade show.
